WEST CHESTER RUNNING CLUB
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
The West Chester Running Club (WCRC) is awarding several scholarships for students graduating from Chester County high schools.
Eligibility Rules:
The student:
has been accepted at an accredited two or four year college.
has been a member of their high school’s cross country and/or track teams in grades 11 and 12.
has demonstrated academic excellence, athletic excellence and leadership qualities.
is a graduating senior from a Chester County, PA public or private school.
Selection will be made by the WCRC Board of Directors. The recipients will be notified in late May and the scholarship will be awarded after the WCRC’s Scholarship Race in May, 2009.
Procedure:
Applications should be printed out and returned via US mail or may be dropped off at the Chester County Running Store in West Chester. Applications will not be accepted via e-mail.
Include official copies of Grade 11 and 12 marks and 2 letters of recommendation from supervising adults, which may include your principal, vice-principal, a teacher, coach, employer, or religious leader.
